Armored Shining

Another art piece for my Fallout Equestria: Northern Lights tabletop RPG I'm running for some friends 

An Armored Shining,  Shining are a form of mutant found in Stable 26,  This Stable was actually a military laboratory were the Ministry of Arcane Sciences headed up by Twilight Sparkle attempted to create a reflection army using water from a mysterious artifact known as the mirror pool to generate essentially a clone army using Twilight Sparkles brother Shining Armor as a base.  The operation was overseen by MAS scientist and ex professor of experimental magic from Celestia's school for gifted unicorns Setherus Starsong who had deep misgivings about the project from the start.  The project was finally terminated after reflections were seen to often attack friendly units or go on murderous rampages during combat testing.  

From there the Shinings took over the Stable and were sealed in by the military in order to prevent there starting there own mini war north of the Smoky Mountains.  From there they survived by maintaining the simulated mirror pool and cannibalizing new reflections until the Stable was opened once again nearly two hundred years later by Floater's band of raiders who were hoping they could use the Stable as a resupply point thinking it was abandoned.   

Armored Shinings are a deviation from the original Shining Armor design by distortions from the repeated use of the mirror pool over long periods of time.  They possess only minimal intelligence and are incapable of speech.  In battle they fight by repeatedly ramming opponents hoping to crush them against the stable walls approaching seemingly any opponent in a single mad rush attack.  

Shinings are inspired both by the Mirror Pool of MLP fame and also by the Garys of Fallout Three's Vault 108
